Lots of our theological constructions are increasingly found to be modern. What rethinking is happening
and what does this mean for the practical everyday stuff of ministry? You may be surprised.
No church ever seems to have enough leaders, but creating a leadership ethos is part of the fix.
This is critical for 21st century effectiveness.
If you haven't noticed, the current way we have been doing church isn't working in most locations in
North America. People are not flocking to our buildings or beating our doors down to get in. There are
new containers for doing church though. What are they? How are they shaped? What could we safely
experiment with?
Part of recognizing that church, as currently configured, isn't working well is learning to read the
signs of the times. This is called semiotics. Ron can help you learn to read the landscape so you can
begin to interface with the culture around you better. The area of semiotics will become one of the most
important tools and postures of ministry in the new millennia.
