How did this get started?

This is an effort to continue a learning experiment that took place over a two year period called the Vortex Learning Community.  Vortex was a gathering of people that met in an art enclave for the purpose of discussing spiritual journey.  For some of the Vortex group this was a church alternative...a place for discussing deep, rich and off the beaten path resources.  For others it was a place explore..a safe place to discuss hard or thorny questions that would have typically not been talked about in a Christian church context.  For all it was a place to get spiritually energized and visioned for next steps in the journey with really good resources and conversation.  After two years the experiment proved to provide just what we had hoped but the problem was Ron’s schedule, He was just gone too many Sunday nights to make it viable on a continuing basis.  We are very excited to say this experience will be continuing in this new interactive video venue through a partnership with Shapevine.com.  In the past we took up an offering and most people gave far more than $10 a week. We will not be taking up an offering but instead simply charging this nominal fee.
